Solana Weekly Recap (September 27, 2026): Alpenglow on Testnet and Devnet, Tokenized Assets, Switchboard Shuts Down
The Solana weekly recap: Alpenglow replaces TowerBFT on testnet and devnet, with no mainnet date set. Plus new tokenized assets from ETFs to a Canadian-dollar stablecoin, and the end of the Switchboard oracle.
SOLANA·HUB Editorial
The week had three themes. First, the new Alpenglow consensus replaced TowerBFT on two public networks, on testnet and a day later on devnet; there is no date for mainnet. Second, new tokenized assets came to Solana, from ETFs and a bond strategy to a Canadian-dollar stablecoin. Third, the data layer shifted: one oracle shut down, and a data provider released new interfaces. We summarize and link to our full coverage for each.
