SOLANA·HUB Editorial

On 19 October, Altitude invited people on X to a demo at Money20/20 USA. The demo covers Bill Pay, using the ANSI X9.150 QR payment standard. Settlement is planned in USDC on Solana.

Altitude’s blog the same day describes the sequence. A business uploads an invoice that carries the QR code. Altitude checks the signed payment request.

The payment is then supposed to complete in USDC on Solana. Altitude calls the showing a proof of concept. General availability is a plan in the blog, and the text gives no date.

The same day, Solana described that demo flow on X. The same code can also be paid over FedNow or RTP, the post says. Money20/20 USA runs from 18 to 21 October in Las Vegas, according to the blog.

What to watch

  • Whether the demo becomes a generally available service, and on what date
  • Whether the demo actually sends a USDC payment on Solana
