ZAMA on Solana: Encryption Protocol Zama's Token Now Tradable via Sunrise

What Happened

Zama brought its ZAMA token to Solana on September 24. The infrastructure comes from Sunrise, which has already brought tokenized stocks such as SPCX and commodity tokens such as SILV to Solana. According to Zama, ZAMA on Solana is a single canonical token that can be traded natively across the ecosystem. The token was originally issued on Ethereum, where the Zama Protocol launched. The official Solana account lists venues including Phantom, Jupiter, Raydium, DFlow, Titan, Kamino Swap, and Mayan.

The mint address per Zama and per tokens.xyz, a page run by the Solana Foundation, is 4Zp52aF4hZi9fzH19xpbWKYKQvgLyCN67KFbrQDqeTKh. Tokens with the same name but a different address are not the official ZAMA token.

What Zama Does

• FHE (fully homomorphic encryption) allows computation on encrypted data without decrypting it. According to the Foundation’s @tokens account, this lets smart contracts compute on hidden data while balances and transfers stay confidential.
• Token function per Zama: operators stake ZAMA to secure the protocol and earn rewards. Protocol fees, such as for decrypting data or verifying encrypted inputs, are paid in ZAMA.

What Is Live and What Is Not

What is live is trading of the token on Solana. Zama describes FHE-based confidential applications, meaning tokens, trading, DeFi, and compliance tools, as something Solana developers could build in the future. Zama gives no timeline for that.
