Anchorpoint announces HKDAP on Solana

Anchorpoint and the Solana Foundation announced a collaboration on 30 October 2026. Native issuance of HKDAP on Solana is planned. The FAQ still lists the beta on Ethereum only.

On 30 October 2026, Anchorpoint announced a strategic collaboration with the Solana Foundation. HKDAP, Anchorpoint’s Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, is to be issued and redeemed natively on Solana. The release does not set a start date.

According to the release, Anchorpoint plans native minting and redemption on Solana. The plan is meant to support payments, trading in tokenised assets, and other high-volume use. The release calls it Anchorpoint’s first collaboration with a public blockchain foundation.

On 30 October, Solana wrote on X that Anchorpoint is bringing HKDAP to Solana, with native minting and redemption. Anchorpoint’s FAQ still lists HKDAP, during beta, on Ethereum only. Reports that call the token available on Solana go beyond the release and the FAQ.

Beta stays on Ethereum

During beta, the FAQ limits HKDAP to companies and professional investors, through authorised distributors. The only contract it lists is on Ethereum: 0x87622385F960fcCB3121d6D0A9513bd1D9Bed6cA. On 30 October the transparency page still placed HKDAP in Beta Access.

The FAQ aims at a full launch no earlier than the end of 2026. Retail customers are to be included then. That depends on readiness across issuance, distribution, and custody.

On its press page, Anchorpoint warns of unregulated tokens that purport to be HKDAP. Genuine HKDAP, the warning says, exists only in the official contract of each supported chain. A token that uses the name HKDAP from another address is not HKDAP.

Licence and the programme

Anchorpoint Financial is a subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong). The joint venture with HKT and Animoca Brands dates from February 2025. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority granted stablecoin issuer licence FRS01 in April 2026.

A warning dated 28 April gives 10 April 2026 as the day of the grant. The 30 October release counts Anchorpoint among the first recipients of this licence.

According to the release, the Solana Foundation is to join the Tokenised Money Adoption Programme. PwC Hong Kong has been the programme’s first strategic partner since 15 September 2026.

The release cites about $4.9 billion in tokenised real-world assets on Solana and more than 835,000 holders. Those figures are the release’s, not an independent count.

The same release refers to induction into the OASES programme and a planned presence in Hong Kong. The 22 October report notes that the OASES list uses the name Solana, and that Solana Company says it is that entry.

What to watch

  • Whether Anchorpoint publishes an official Solana address and starts issuance there.
  • Whether the full launch targeted for the end of 2026 includes issuance on Solana.
