Solana Frontier Hackathon: Colosseum Names CrowdBrain Grand Champion
Colosseum has announced the winners of the Solana Frontier Hackathon — with 2,857 projects, the largest crypto hackathon to date by its own account. The Grand Champion is CrowdBrain, a robotics DePIN project, plus 25 top projects.
What happened
Colosseum has announced the winners of the Solana Frontier Hackathon. The Grand Champion is CrowdBrain — a vertically integrated robotics DePIN project that trains users in simulation, qualifies them through QA, and routes the best operators to real robots. CrowdBrain receives 30,000 US dollars in prize money, paid in Phantom’s USD stablecoin CASH.
According to Colosseum, 2,857 final projects were submitted by more than 10,000 participants from over 150 countries — making Frontier, by its own account, the largest crypto hackathon to date.
The other winners
Alongside the Grand Champion, the judges selected 25 top projects, including Peaks, Alpha Group Trading, Flovia, Sudont, Dropset, Clawpump and Traded.gg. They span DePIN, AI agents, trading tools and consumer applications. Two special awards of 10,000 US dollars each went to IOChain (University Award) and Zoneless (Public Good Award).
Context
A hackathon of this size is a gauge of activity in the Solana ecosystem: how many teams submit, and what they build, signals where developer energy is heading. Colosseum runs Solana’s hackathons and operates an attached accelerator and VC fund. Notably, many of the winning projects sit in DePIN and AI agents and x402.
