Solana Foundation shows a new office in Shanghai

Rachel Conlan, chief strategy officer of the Solana Foundation, posted her first day in Shanghai on X on 14 October. The post shows a visit to the new office and Solana lighting on the skyline.
vibhu’s profile says he works on products at the Solana Foundation. The same day he wrote: “In Shanghai, Solana occupies the highest commercially available office space in the world.” That sentence is his.
Changpeng Zhao wrote on X on 15 October that Solana had been able to advertise in China and get an office. The Binance founder said BNB Chain had not managed that so far. He added: “Hopefully, what’s good for one industry player is also good for the rest.”
Crypto trading stays banned in mainland China. On 6 February 2026 the People’s Bank of China and the CSRC restated that virtual-currency business there is illegal financial activity.
Accelerate China starts on 16 October in Shanghai. The Solana events page then lists Hangzhou on 18 October, Shenzhen on 20 October and Beijing on 22 October.
Conlan has been chief strategy officer since 24 September. The appointment is in the September report.
