Meteora changes LP accounting on DAMM v1
Meteora now prices DAMM v1 LP shares with pool.lp_mint_supply. Seven pools stay disabled for deposits and swaps. One wallet reached about $12,644.
Meteora has changed how DAMM v1 counts LP shares. Meteora said so on X on 16 October and pointed to a post by dann, who works in product engineering there. Meteora removed DAMM v1 from the main UI earlier this year and plans to deprecate it.
A share used to be the LP tokens a provider held, divided by the mint supply. Anyone can burn LP tokens that the position owner sent to the System Program or the incinerator address, and reclaim the rent. That burn cut the mint supply and raised the share of the remaining LPs.
A third-party wallet deposited into seven legacy pools with thin liquidity from eight LPs, then burned LP tokens already at those addresses. Apart from SOL, the pools held unverified illiquid tokens with safety warnings and an organic score of 0. The wallet’s share came to about $12,644.
Meteora paused every DAMM v1 pool. Pools now price shares with pool.lp_mint_supply. That record changes only when the program itself mints or burns LP.
The seven pools stay disabled for deposits and swaps, and the other DAMM v1 pools are running again. No other Meteora program was involved. A withdrawal needs a signature from the owner of the LP tokens, and a delegate cannot remove liquidity.
Meteora asks LPs and token holders in the seven pools to open a ticket in its Discord. The pool addresses are listed under the post. A transfer to the System Program or the incinerator address does not replace the official permanent LP lock.
