Solflare makes SOL freed by the rent cut claimable in the wallet

Solflare users can claim SOL freed by the rent cut with one tap. Two live phases and about 30 percent are Solflare’s figures. Third-party “Reclaim SOL” sites are unnecessary for this.

SOLANA·HUB Editorial

Users can claim SOL freed by Solana’s rent reduction directly in Solflare.

Solflare writes that on X on 14 October. One tap in the wallet is enough. There is no connection to a third-party tool and no fee to that tool.

The post points to the “Assets” section. The claimable amount updates on its own as further cuts land.

Solflare says the first two phases are live, with about 30 percent of the expected SOL already claimable. The post speaks of millions of SOL. The phase status and both amounts are Solflare’s.

The Solana Foundation upgrade page from September describes five steps. Step 1 has been active on mainnet since 3 September, from 6,960 to 6,333 lamports per byte. The table lists step 2 as live on testnet, from 6,960 to 5,080 lamports.

The page expects steps 3 to 5 with Agave 4.4 in November.

The Agave 4.2 report relays an Anza confirmation from 21 September. On that account, step 2 has been active on mainnet since 11 September, at 5,080 lamports per byte. The Foundation table still lists step 2 as testnet.

No site advertising “Reclaim SOL” is needed for this step. A drainer often sits behind that pitch and asks for a wallet connection. How to spot the pattern is in Detecting Solana wallet drainers.

The post does not equate its two phases with the Foundation’s steps.
