Solflare Brings Perpetuals Directly Into the Wallet — With Phoenix's On-Chain Orderbook
Solflare has shipped perpetual futures natively in its mobile wallet, settled via PhoenixTrade's on-chain orderbook. More than 65 markets can be traded long or short — without leaving the wallet.
What Happened
Solflare has shipped perpetual futures directly in the wallet — mobile, settled via PhoenixTrade’s on-chain orderbook. Users can go long or short on more than 65 markets without holding the underlying asset and without leaving the wallet for an external trading app; settlement stays on Solana.
What Shifts With This
The wallet category is visibly working its way from custody tool to trading interface: Solflare recently built bridge onboarding with fixed deposit addresses, Phantom and Backpack keep expanding their surfaces — and now leveraged derivatives arrive natively in the mobile wallet. The difference from the centralized variant: the orderbook lives on-chain, custody stays with the user.
The other side belongs in the same paragraph: perpetuals are leveraged derivatives — liquidations on price moves are part of the mechanics, and a trading interface in the everyday wallet lowers the threshold for users these products aren’t meant for.
Note: This is reporting, not investment advice. Perpetual futures are leveraged, high-risk products.
