What Solana Mobile Announced

Solana Mobile has released a new feature called dApp Spotlight in the Solana dApp Store. It is a themed, hand-curated carousel that surfaces selected apps from a catalog that now exceeds 900 apps — according to Solana Mobile, the goal is to make quality apps visible that might otherwise go unnoticed in a growing store.

How dApp Spotlight Works

From Solana Mobile’s announcement:

Themed carousel — one theme per week with four hand-picked apps
Curation notes — for each app, the store explains why it was selected
Seeker reviews — every spotlight app is paired with verified reviews from Seeker devices
Placement — the carousel sits between the “Editor’s Choice” row and the category rows
Already-installed apps are automatically moved to the end of the list

According to Solana Mobile, the spotlight refreshes weekly with a new theme.

Launch Theme: Onchain Games & Puzzles

The first theme is “Onchain Games & Puzzles” and includes four titles:

Slimecoin — mobile mini-games with USDC prizes via provably fair on-chain gameplay
Planes! — a visually polished flying arcade game, native to Solana
Mattle.fun — a survival game that combines on-chain activity, quests, trading, and DeFi tools
Billiards Clash — physics-based billiards against a challenging AI

Upcoming Themes

Solana Mobile names upcoming spotlight themes including DeFi Innovators, On-Chain Intelligence, Brain Games & Puzzles, Privacy & Security, and Real-World Utility.
