Schwab plans SOL trading in Schwab Crypto by year-end
Rick Wurster said on 15 October that three new coins are due by year-end and that crypto transfers are rolling out. He did not name them. SOL, AVAX and LINK are in the 27 August release.
On the 15 October earnings call, Schwab CEO Rick Wurster said every client can now access Schwab Crypto. He said Schwab is rolling out transfers of existing crypto holdings and will open access to three new coins by the end of the year.
Wurster did not name those coins on the call. The press release of 27 August lists Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK), and it set the timing then as “in the coming months.” That release says clients can already trade bitcoin and ethereum, and that Schwab Crypto accounts are available in US states other than New York and Louisiana.
Neither text gives a calendar date for the new coins.
