What Happened

Phantom is ending support for the Sui network on September 24, 2026 — coordinated with the Sui team. The important part first: funds remain safe — they live on-chain, not with Phantom. What changes is access through the Phantom interface.

The Two Paths Until the Cutoff

Swap in the wallet: Until September 24, native SUI holdings can be swapped directly in Phantom into wrapped SUI on Solana — with the Phantom fee waived, per the announcement.
Switch wallets: Anyone staying on Sui imports their recovery phrase into a Sui-native wallet (Phantom names Slush). Access continues there — including after the cutoff, because the keys belong to the user.

The usual security note applies with force: migration deadlines attract phishing. The recovery phrase gets entered only directly in a wallet app — never on websites prompting for it via link, mail, or comment. The patterns are described in Detecting Wallet Drainers.

Context

Phantom keeps sorting its multi-chain lineup: Monad support ended in July, now Sui follows — while the Robinhood Chain was recently added. For users, it comes down to this: anyone holding Sui assets in Phantom should take one of the two paths before September 24.
