Trading from 13 October

HKEX will admit the Pando Solana ETF to trading on 13 October 2026. The manager is Pando Finance Limited. The stock code is 2831, the short name is PANDO SOL, and the board lot is 100 shares. That is the exchange’s trading-arrangement notice of 9 October.

On X, Solana described the listing as a second spot Solana ETF in Hong Kong. China Asset Management (Hong Kong) gives the ChinaAMC Solana ETF a listing date of 27 October 2025. An HKEX circular named that day as the expected start of trading.

The same post puts global spot SOL ETFs at 1.9 billion US dollars of net assets and 1.61 billion US dollars of cumulative net inflows. It names neither a data source nor an as-of date.

SFC authorisation is not a recommendation, the prospectus says.

The initial offer runs through participating dealers from 6 to 12 October 2026. Redemptions are not accepted in that window. The issue price is 1 US dollar per share. The smallest creation is 100,000 shares.

The prospectus of 6 October puts the start at 9:00 a.m. Hong Kong time. The window closes on 12 October at 11:00 a.m. for cash creations and at 4:00 p.m. for in-kind creations. The same timetable puts exchange trading at 9:30 a.m. on 13 October.

Direct SOL, no staking

The sub-fund is passive. It may hold SOL directly, up to 100% of net asset value. Buys and sells go through an SFC-licensed virtual-asset trading platform. It will not stake the holdings. Cash is capped at 3% of net asset value, for fees and redemptions.

The prospectus does not provide for derivatives or for leverage on SOL at sub-fund level. The vehicle is a sub-fund of Pando Virtual Assets ETF Series OFC.

Holdings are valued on the CME CF Solana-Dollar Reference Rate, Asia Pacific variant. CF Benchmarks Ltd. publishes the rate once a day, as of 4:00 p.m. Hong Kong time, from trades between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The index launched on 14 April 2025.

As of 7 September 2026 the constituent exchanges were Bitstamp, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, LMAX Digital and Crypto.com. The base currency is the US dollar. The shares trade in Hong Kong dollars under code 2831. The ISIN is HK0001372793. No distribution is intended.

Fees and custody

ItemRate
Management fee0.60% a year of net asset value
Custodian and administratorup to 1% a year, monthly minimum of up to 5,000 US dollars
Registrar6,000 US dollars a year per class of shares
Ongoing chargesestimated at 1.60% a year

The prospectus names 0.60% as the current rate and as the stated maximum. A higher rate needs SFC approval and one month’s notice.

Ongoing charges are an estimate because the sub-fund is new. From launch until 13 October 2027 they are capped at 1.60% of average net asset value. The manager bears anything above that. The product key facts statement estimates the annual tracking difference at −1.60%.

BOCI-Prudential Trustee Limited is custodian, administrator and registrar. For the SOL it has appointed Hash Blockchain Limited as sub-custodian, acting through its associated entity HashKey Custody Services Limited. Hash Blockchain Limited also operates HashKey Exchange, and that is the platform where the sub-fund trades SOL.

The prospectus says at least 98% of the SOL is kept in the cold wallet. The sub-fund does not insure the holdings itself. The compensation arrangement is shared across the sub-custodian’s clients. It covers 50% of virtual assets in cold storage and 100% in hot and other storage.

The SFC licenses Hash Blockchain Limited for Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 7 (providing automated trading services). HashKey Custody Services Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary, holds trust or company service provider licence TC006486.

The product page names Eclipse Options (HK) Ltd and China Merchants Securities (HK) Co., Limited as market makers. For creations in cash and in kind it names Eddid Securities and Futures Limited, Solomon JFZ (Asia) Holdings Limited and Victory Securities Company Limited. For cash only it names China Merchants Securities (HK) Co., Limited, Mirae Asset Securities (HK) Limited and Valuable Capital Limited.

The same umbrella company already lists the Pando Bitcoin ETF and the Pando Ethereum ETF. The bitcoin fund, code 2818, has a listing date of 18 July 2025. The ether fund, code 3085, has a listing date of 3 December 2025. The prospectus names OSL Digital Securities Limited as sub-custodian for those two, not HashKey.

The earlier ChinaAMC fund

China Asset Management (Hong Kong) lists the ChinaAMC Solana ETF with a listing date of 27 October 2025. The counters are 3460 in Hong Kong dollars, 9460 in US dollars and 83460 in renminbi. The board lot there is also 100 shares. The management fee on that page is 0.99% a year.

The sub-custodian is OSL Digital Securities Limited, acting through OSL Custody Services Limited. The trading platform is OSL Exchange. The page names the CME CF Solana-Dollar Reference Rate (APAC Variant) as the index. It describes listed and unlisted classes. Pando’s key facts statement, for the Solana sub-fund, describes shares listed on the SEHK in Hong Kong dollars.

A separate report covers US spot Solana ETFs in the week to 9 October.

What to watch

  • Whether the manager moved the 6 to 12 October initial-offer window
  • Whether ongoing charges diverge from the 1.60% estimate after the cap ends on 13 October 2027
  • Whether the market makers, participating dealers and trading platform on the product page stay as listed
  • Whether a data source and an as-of date are later attached to the totals in Solana’s post
  • Whether the index constituent exchanges change from the 7 September 2026 list
