Backpack now embeds mandatory disclosures from the SEC's EDGAR database into its stock pages — annual reports, material event notices, and insider transactions in the original, not just as headlines.
What happened
Backpack now shows mandatory disclosures straight from EDGAR, the public document database of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, on its stock pages. Included are annual reports (10-K), material event notices (8-K), and filings on insider transactions and ownership.
Why this is more than a feature
Anyone wanting to stay informed about tokenized equities had two options so far: read headlines, or dig into the SEC database yourself. EDGAR is public but unwieldy — the documents are findable, just not convenient.
The difference lies in the source: an original material event notice tells you what a company reported to its regulator. A headline tells you what someone made of it. For tokenized equities this matters especially, because the token tracks the price of the real share — and that price reacts to exactly these documents.
