Agave v4.4 mainnet rollout delayed by one week

Anza moved the Agave v4.4 schedule in the wiki. Volunteers for 10 percent of stake, and the testnet restart, are now 26 October. The 25 percent step is 2 November.

SOLANA·HUB Editorial

On 19 October 2026, Anza moved the mainnet rollout for Agave v4.4 back by a week in the wiki. Volunteers are now asked to take 10 percent of stake to v4.4 on 26 October rather than 19 October, and the testnet cluster restart, including the downgrade and upgrade procedure, moves to the same day.

The request for 25 percent of stake shifts from 26 October to 2 November, which is still the day v4.4 is to be recommended generally, and feature activation is still set to resume on 9 November. The wiki gives no reason for the new dates and marks them as tentative. Operators should wait for Discord announcements before they upgrade or downgrade.

On the Solana Foundation upgrade page, Agave 4.4 is when new deployments, upgrades, and finalizations must use sBPFv3, while programs already onchain keep running. The page expects that activation in November 2026, and it places the rise in CPI nesting from four calls to eight after Agave 4.4, still without a fixed date.

Agave v4.3.2 remains the recommended build for every mainnet validator in the 16 October report. Commission and RPC changes in v4.4.0-beta.1 are in the beta report.
